Welcome to Glassman Psychological Services, LLC
It was with pleasure that I announced the opening of my private practice in July 2006. I have been a licensed psychologist since June 2006 and have over 25 years of experience, combining work at both the Masters and Doctoral levels. I have conducted integrative psychotherapy with individuals, couples and families, as well as psychological testing across the lifespan. I also have provided consultation and outreach services to a number of individuals and community agencies.
I earned a B.A. degree in Psychology from the Pennsylvania State University, an M.A. degree in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University Maryland, and a Psy.D degree from Argosy University/Washington, D.C. I have experience in varied settings including a youth service bureau, a community hospital, veterans’ hospitals, a clinic for children and families of domestic violence, a college counseling center, and a juvenile court. I worked contractually for almost 5 years providing therapy to juvenile sex offenders and their families. In addition, I have 10 years experience in health psychology, using biofeedback and a variety of other interventions for stress related disorders. I have special training in the treatment of trauma and eating disorders, completing separate postdoctoral fellowships in these areas at Sheppard Pratt Hospital. I have additional training in Eriksonian Hypnosis and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing and have been a member of leadership and scholarship societies including Psi Chi, Mu Phi Epsilon, and Omicron Delta Kappa. I am a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the Maryland Psychological Association (MPA), the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA), the Academy for Eating Disorders (AED), the Binge Eating Disorders Association (BEDA), the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Related Eating Disorders (ANAD), the Eating Disorders Network of Maryland (EDN), the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD), and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS).
I currently work with adults and adolescents and am credentialed with a few insurance companies. I also will complete paperwork for patients to receive out-of-network benefits upon their request. If you think I could be of assistance, please feel free to contact me. I would be pleased to talk with you by telephone or meet with you in person to discuss how I might best serve your needs for psychological services.
