Your work in therapy is important, and finding a good fit with a therapist is, too.  Here are some things about me to help you decide if I might be right for you.

  • Over 30 years combined Masters and Doctoral experience

  • BA in Psychology from Penn State University.  MA in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University in MD.  PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University / Washington, DC

  • Have experience with clients across the lifespan

  • Worked in various settings (inpatient and outpatient hospitals, a youth service center, a biofeedback lab, a domestic violence center, a university counseling center and a juvenile forensics facility

  • Have worked with individuals, couples, groups, families

  • Doctoral internship at Perry Point veterans hospital

  • Postdoctoral fellowships in trauma disorders at Sheppard Pratt Hospital and eating disorders at Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt

  • Training in many types of therapy -- integrative approach, using strategies that are empirically validated.  Able to shift to fit your style and particular needs

  • Extensive experience in psychological evaluations / testing / some court testimony

  • Multicultural and religious interest and experience

  • Training in biofeedback, hypnosis, EMDR, Eye Movement Integration (EMI) and extensive continuing education

  • Dissertation on an aspect of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

  • Co-authored and published a professional article on dream work

  • Presentations / training for community and professional groups

  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional consultation
